Building a community – Part1: The exctraordinary beginning

Community von Leisetretern als Unternehmer

If you have asked yourself how you can start and develop your own community, you probably found only a few success stories. The most part of articles and posts usually deals with a To Do list and their authors mainly use theoretical approach, like what you have to do but no one says how to do it right. This blog article is going to be absolutely different. It’s going to be practice oriented, is going to feature the close monitor of the development that began exactly at this 19th calendar week 2017.

How it all began

It was Tuesday, May 9th 2017 when I had an unusual experience and made a truly valuable discovery for myself, which I really want to share with as many people as possible. You are probably asking yourself what I am trying to say and what I am trying to achieve with Traction, what it feels like and how it looks like. Traction feels exactly like what I felt that very Tuesday. It was a positive agitation, because I experienced how through some subtle and fine actions I managed to see the development of dynamics and achievement of the independence status. At this point I want to direct to you the message, the appeal, the question, which I shared only in a few selected FB groups.

Momentum

From that moment, there was some hesitation and indecisiveness, but as time went by we managed to get the ball rolling. The whole afternoon down to the very late evening hours we have had one endless sequence of conversations, meetings, interactions and agreements and once I felt it was just about the limit. I felt carried away. I was totally overwhelmed and blown away realizing that so many awesome people have entered this unusual conversation, that so many of them showed genuine interest in sharing their own experience and vision to the topic „How do introverts and timid withdrawers go about sales?“, in which I myself have unexpectedly plunged with a reinforced enthusiasm. One thing added up just perfectly, making us feel a slight euphoria.

This was the fact that a powerful momentum has suddenly arisen among all these people who were sharing their experiences and insights. The fact that by joint effort these man and women, these talented young people have developed the initiative that has a potential to attract more and more people just like us, with the same needs and goals like those that we have.

Now the ambition of the minds has encouraged us to build a community or a small group so that all the members could feel confident and lighthearted to exchange their experiences and ideas to the topic of subtle sales. Besides, we can do it not only online, but also offline, and have awesome time together.

And so we go on

Well, something unusual has come out of this. Where it will eventually bring us I don’t know and I don’t even look into the future because I am absolutely enjoying the present growth and I am following every step of our progress. I will monitor everything in my blog, so that I am not the only one responsible. As the name itself implies, it is a joint project. As time goes by, I will surely keep you posted on all the events and our progress, so that you can have a clear picture of the milestones reached and about new goals set.

On Wednesday, May 10th 2017, Annika Thierfeld from Marketingcafe and I have quite spontaneously met and decided to make a group in Facebook. The name choice was spontaneous, as Annika and I relied on our background and „introvert entrepreneurs” has suddenly come out really naturally and quite to the point, as we have recognized this need.

I look forward to you joining the group and following our progress. Live it and experience the growth of this fine and vibrant community with us.
